Why A Quiet Life?

Explaining what a quiet life signifies to me:

~A Quiet Life marks the beginning of my quest to live quietly.

~Noise Reduction offers questions to ask concerning media consumption.

~Not Feeding the Frenzy sets forth my guidelines for social media contributions. (I also clarified my position and expounded upon it)

~Minding My Own Affairs helps me narrow my focus.

~Choosing Commitments sets forth the guidelines our family tries to use for those activities that take us away from home.

~A Quiet Life is Rewarding lists the benefits of a quiet life. They are well worth pursuing!

What I Learned During My Social Media Vacation

With the Holy Spirit's prompting - and the grace of God abounding - I gave up Facebook and Twitter during December so that I could focus on the Incarnation and prepare my heart for Christmas. I didn't think I devoted an inordinate amount of time to social media; however, when I announced my intention to my girl and her response was something akin to "Good. You need to given them up.", I knew I needed the break more than I cared to admit. I had already stopped posting anything in this little spot for the final months of 2013.
